FI 24-hour Cancellation Policy
Icelandair provides a 24-hour cancellation policy wherein passengers are allowed to cancel their flight within 24 hours of booking and get full refund against the flight cancellation. This is allowed for all types of fares.
International Flights Cancellation Policy

You can cancel your flights within 24 hours of booking and at least 7 days of departure for flights that are departing from the United States.

You will get a full refund on your flight cancellation if you have booked your ticket through Icelandair’s United States’ website, booking system, ticket counter, or office.

Make sure you pay in U.S. dollars.

You can cancel your flight and get a full refund in case you have purchased your ticket at least 48 hours before departure.

Non-cancelable fares
Economy Flight fares cannot be canceled or refunded including booking fee. You can only get a refund on unused portions of the airport/government taxes.
Economy Standard fares also cannot be canceled or refunded. You can only get an unused part of airport/government taxes that are refundable. If you have upgraded an Economy Standard fare to a Flex fare, only the differential amount paid for the upgrade is refundable, not the original fare.
Cancelable Fares
Economy Flex fares are cancelable and completely refundable. However, the booking fee is non-refundable. The amount of refund will be based on the unused portion of the ticket and will not be included in the used portion of the ticket. In case you have upgraded your flight to a Flex Fare, only the difference paid for the upgrade can be refunded.
You can cancel Saga Premium fares but this type of fare is non-refundable including booking fee except for the unused portion of airport/government taxes. In case you have upgraded to Flex fare, the original conditions will be continued and only difference paid for the upgrade is refundable.
Saga Premium Flex fairies are completely refundable excluding booking fee and the used portion of the ticket. The only remaining value of a partly used ticket will be refunded excluding the used portion of the ticket. If you’ve upgraded to this fare type only the amount paid by you for the upgrade will be refunded and not the original amount paid by you for the ticket.
What is Icelandair Refund Policy?
Icelandair Refund policy is dependable on below conditions:

Tickets that are booked for flight departing from the United States can be canceled without any cancellation fee or penalty within 24 hours of booking id purchased in U.S. dollars directly from the airline’s website or other booking channels at least 7 days before departure by U.S. resident passengers.

Tickets for non-US flights booked directly through Icelandair website, ticketing office, call center or ticket counter can be canceled without cancellation fee or penalty if it is canceled within 24 hours of booking and purchased at least 48 hours before departure. This includes a holidays package and not group booking of 10 members or more.

In order to request the refund of a ticket or any additional charge, you need to fill out Icelandair's refund form.

All refunds will be issued excluding the ticketing fee.
